- Develop an understanding of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and work within an NDIS service environment
- Support the safety of people with disability through identifying and reporting abuse and/or family violence

Admission Requirements
Students must satisfy the following age, English, and Academic requirements:
Age: must be 17 years or over
Undertake Pre-Training Review
Undertake LLN test: Learning, reading, writing, oral communication, and numeracy (ACSF Level 3) are desirable to participate in the course.

Study Material (optional)
Students will be given access to books in the classroom. For the Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care recommended books are Frameworks for Learning and Development and The Business of Childcare. The books can be purchased from Hammond Institute for $130 or Cengage Learning Australia ISBN 9780170279048.
Pathways
Learners who successfully complete this course may progress into further studies in community service courses.

All assessment will be conducted in accordance with the Training Package requirements, Principles of Assessment and Rules of Evidence.

Practical Placement Requirements
No placements hours required.
Skills must have been demonstrated in the disabilities workplace with the addition of simulations and scenarios where the full range of contexts and situations have not been provided in the workplace.
Unit of Competency
To be eligible for the award of a Statement of Attainment for the 22529VIC Course in Performing Allied Health Tasks and Supporting People with Disability, participants must successfully complete five units comprising:
• five (5) Core units
Where the full course is not completed, a Statement of Attainment will be issued for any completed unit/s.
