Entry Requirement

According to Training Package there are NO previous work or education requirements for entry into this course. Students may enrol directly in the Advanced diploma level course without completing lower ranked qualifications.

Admission Requirements

Students must satisfy the following age, English and Academic requirements:

  • Age: must be 18 years or over
  • Undertake Pre Training Review
  • Successful completion of  LLN test: Learning (ACSF Level 4), reading (ACSF Level 4), writing (ACSF Level 4), oral communication (ACSF Level 4) and numeracy (ACSF Level 3) is desirable to participate in the course.
  • It is also essential for the student to possess basic computer skills.
  • Relevant vocational qualification at Certificate IV level or above or have 2 years experience and knowledge of community work or service.

Hammond Institute is committed to providing an excellent education for an affordable fee.

To make it easier to pay for a training course, the Victorian Government and the Australian Government offer a range of financial assistance options to eligible students.

We have competitive fees and interest-free payment plans from $70 per week for students who are not eligible for any government assistance.

Students who are for eligible Skills First funding their tuition fees are fully covered by the Skills First funding and they only require to pay $200 application fees.

Skills First Funding
To be eligible for a government-subsidised training, you must be either:

  • an Australian citizen, permanent resident, New Zealand citizen or asylum seeker, and
  • physically present in the state of Victoria at all times at which you are undertaking the training and assessment. and
  • If you are under 20 years old you can do Skills First training at any level . or
  • If you are 20 years or over, you can usually only do Skills First training at a higher level than any qualification you already have in Australia.

There are some exclusions and exemptions available to the above eligibility criteria. Please contact us to discuss your eligibility for Government Funding.

VET Student Loan
The VET Student Loan (VSL) is a Commonwealth assistance loan that helps eligible students, studying for a diploma qualification or higher, to pay their tuition fees.

Under a VET Student Loan, the Australian Government pays your tuition fee on your behalf directly to Hammond Institute.

To be eligible, you must either:

  • be an Australian citizen, or
  • hold an eligible permanent humanitarian visa and usually reside in Australia, or
  • be a New Zealand citizen on Special Category Visa (SCV subclass 444) who meets the long term residency requirements.*

The only upfront payment for students who qualify for the VSL is $200 application fees.

Delivery Structure:

  • Delivery structure of Advanced Diploma of Community Sector Management is comprised of classroom training sessions, structured learning such as training support, learning activities, self-paced (to allow the learners to absorb and reflect on their learning), workshops and work placement.
  • The unit of competency will be delivered and assessed as stand-alone unit.
